Rising Voices is now two and a half years old and has grown with tremendous success. It has also met some challenges, however, and we haven't been able to keep to our ideal schedule of one microgrant competition every six months. What follows are a list of goals for Rising Voices for 2010. They were first discussed during a live online chat that took place on December 23, 2009 among Rising Voices staff and grantees.

• Host at least one microgrant competition in 2010.
• Encourage more Rising Voices projects to organize blogging competitions like those done by Foko and Plan Ceibal. (And ask members of other RV projects to help judge the competitions.)
• Encourage more photo and video sharing
• Encourage RV grantee projects to develop "project buddies" to promote interaction between projects.

 - More awareness of other projects (video greetings to other projects)

• Focus more on working with and amplifying the work of grantee projects that haven't been as visible as others.
• Make sure GV Language and Regional editors not only know, but actively link to new bloggers
• Encourage grantees to form alliances with local partners.
• Organize a training the trainer's workshop at the Global Voices Summit.
