  • Russia - http://youhouse.ru/ - a website of the managing companies who are responsible to keep the city and the houses properly, there is also a forum where citizens discuss, complain and ask questions
  • Poland - http://Sejmometr.pl - service which takes all data released by Polish Parliament and puts them in user friendly way, cause the gov way is simply impossible to stand ;) This project will be the first I am going to
  • Poland - http://www.wszystkoobip.pl/ - BIP - every gov instittuiotn in Poland is obliged to publish "Bulletin of Public Information" but not always they are up to date and have all the necessary data. This one monitors them and point out mistakes. It also helps people to understand how to read them
  • Poland - www.ngo.pl - this one is very important for the Polish third sector scene. Basically it covers all the topics related to starting and running NGO. From writing the first legal stuff, forms, then getting money, volunteers, accounting and so on. Its not exactly what we have in mind here I think, but effect it has made to Poland is definetely the one we are looking for to write about.

  • Poland - http://www.regioportal.pl/ - portal for local administration which monitors new law and ideas how to get funding for loca, small, and medium initatives. Really nice one
  • Poland - http://www.anty-bezczynnosc.pl - project which monitors public administration and tries to find stuff which makes them work really slow and then provides solution to it

  • India - <a href="http://votereport.in/" rel="nofollow">Vote Report India</a> - is a collaborative citizen-driven election monitoring platform for the 2009 Indian general elections. Basically, users contribute direct SMS, email, and web reports on violations of the Election Commission's Model Code of Conduct. The platform aggregates these direct reports with news

    reports, blog posts, photos, videos and tweets related to the elections

    from all relevant sources, in one place, on an interactive map.
  • India - Several more websites on elections and candidates like, <a href="http://www.adrindia.org/" rel="nofollow">Association for Democratic Reforms</a>, <a href="http://myneta.info" rel="nofollow">My Neta</a>, <a href="http://www.empoweringindia.org/new/home.aspx" rel="nofollow">Empowering India</a>
  • India - <a href="http://www.fixourcity.org" rel="nofollow">Fix Our City</a> - is an online platform for citizens from one city to report civic issues like garbage, potholes, sewerage etc. Citizens submit the reports online, and the organization takes it forward. This initiative has just started in one of the cities (Chennai), and in the following couple of weeks, similar platforms will be launched for other cities as well.
  • India - <a href="http://www.kiirti.org/" rel="nofollow">Kiirti</a> - is a one-stop citizen reporting for India. It aggregates several kinds of information like floods, corruption, civic issues, safety etc. from all across India, which can be viewed on an interactive map. PREFERRED FOR THE CASE STUDY
  • India - <a href="http://www.kiirti.org/" rel="nofollow">Jaagore</a> - (which means 'Wake up!'), initially started as an offline and online campaign, asking young citizens to vote. It has now diversified into many other issues like corruption, human rights etc. Anyone can become a member online and submit posts, photographs, videos, presentations. Interested members can also start a discussion group around their area of interest. PREFERRED FOR THE CASE STUDY
  • India - <a href="http://www.democracyconnect.org" rel="nofollow">Democracy Connect</a> - provides a platform for individuals to participate in governance, policy issues etc. It gives reports on parliamentary proceedings, information on various developmental issues in a Constituency, allows for interaction with MPs, MLAs etc. and have set up a Virtual Policy Cell.
  • India - <a href="http://www.praja.org" rel="nofollow">Praja</a> - (which means 'Citizens'). It provides information on MPs, MLAs, and specific wards, issues raised. People can start their discussion groups on the site, and also communicate with the political leaders. It also sends fortnightly reports to elected representatives on discussions taking place in the forum. PREFERRED FOR THE CASE STUDY
  • India - <a href="http://bangalore.citizenmatters.in" rel="nofollow">Citizen Matters</a> - This is an online citizen-oriented online news magazine, covering city public affairs, community and culture. It encourages everyone to get involved in city affairs and articles are written by journalists, citizens, activists etc. It asks everyone to report, collaborate, analyse, and propose ideas and solutions.
